COMMUNITY SAFETY – STRATEGIC ASSESSMENT

The Strategic Assessment reviewed crime and disorder across the District and sought to identify what was happening and where.  From this assessment recommendations were made which fed into the Partnership Plan.  The Assessment gives an accurate picture of crime and disorder and identifies those Wards where greater problems exist.  It also summarises public perception of crime in that the fear of crime always outweighs the reality.  These perceptions have been gathered through a range of  consultation exercises and surveys described in the assessment.
