The Highway Code for Mobility Scooter Users
This guide promotes the safety of people who use electric mobility scooters as well as the safety of pedestrians and other road users.
The new publication was produced by Horsham District Council in response to a recommendation from the Senior Persons’ Council, who wanted to promote safe, conscientious use of mobility scooters.
Users of mobility scooters are responsible for their own and other people’s safety, whether riding on the pavement or on the road and whilst travelling on and around the shops.
The Code has been produced by Horsham District Council in partnership with the Senior Persons Council and Horsham Shopmobillity.
