Ombudsman

Unfortunately, sometimes things can go wrong which affect the standard and level of service we provide. When this happens we want to hear about it.

The Council has a procedure for handling comments, representations, criticisms of policy and formal complaints to ensure that your comments help us improve.

Do you want to make a comment or suggestion?

Forms to help you pass comments and suggestions or to complain are available at the back of the procedure document. Copies of the forms can be found on the Complaints area of this site. These can be printed out, completed and posted to the freepost address given on the form.

If you have used the Complaints Procedure and are still not satisfied you may be able to refer your complaint to the Local Government Ombudsman.  The Local Government Ombudsman investigates complaints of injustice by maladministration. Generally, maladministration means that we have done something the wrong way, done something we shouldn’t have done, or failed to do something we should have done.
