Grants and Funding

Lottery Grants

Many community projects require a magic ingredient to make them happen: money!

There are many funders besides the National Lottery, and Horsham District Council can provide advice on such sources, as well as help with applications.

Funding for projects can come from a variety of sources and differing projects may attract different funders.

The following websites contain advice on categories of projects funded and advice on how to apply:
Arts Council England
Awards for All
Biffaward (geographical restrictions apply)
Big Lottery Fund
Gatwick Airport Community Trust (geographical restrictions apply)
Hall and Woodhouse Community Chest
Heritage Lottery Fund
South Downs National Park Authority (geographical restrictions apply)
Sport England
Sussex Community Foundation
West Sussex County Council County Local Committee

Other sources may be found at Search engine for grants

Please note that no guarantee can be given that funding will be available from these funders.

If external sources are unavailable, the Council may offer limited funding towards projects which support and deliver against its District Plan priorities.

If you are a voluntary organisation with a new project idea which needs funds, call the Grants and Funding Officer on 01403 215358 for an initial discussion or email community.development@horsham.gov.uk
