WHEELED BINS & BASKETS
- To enable effective collections across the District, the Council has specified the size and type of bin and position of your collection point.
- We use wheeled bins– the standard size 140 litre wheeled bin and two recycling baskets provide the same space as 2 and a half dustbins. This has proved adequate for 90% of our households.
- If you are moving , you will need to agree with the previous owner or your landlord whether the bin and baskets are left for you.
- If there is no bin or baskets at your property you will need to order them. Please telephone (01403) 733144 for an order form or download a copy from this website.
- Label your wheeled bin and baskets in waterproof ink with house number and road name for easy identification.
- If you are on the Acorn Scheme you will have a larger wheeled bin with a brown lid for garden waste and card.
- We collect the smaller refuse bin every week and the garden waste with card bin on alternate weeks. No extra bags of refuse will be taken. Carry on using your recycling baskets for newspapers and magazines and cans with plastic bottles. If you have any concerns or questions, please call us on 01403 733144 or access scheme details.
