PUBLIC ACCESS (PLANS SEARCH & INFORMATION)
Public Access Planning Application Information System
What is Public Access?
“Public Access” for planning is an on-line Internet service that allows you to view details including associated plans and documents of planning applications received by the Council. You can monitor the progress of an application, submit comments about the application, search a constantly updated list of applications received and decided each week, view details of many historic applications and view property details by reference to a map.
Limitations
The service continues to be developed, however at the present time no constraint information is available online.
The online planning history contained within the site at present is incomplete and must not be used as a substitute for carrying out a formal ‘Land Charge Search’. No responsibility will be taken for any errors or omissions in the planning history information obtained from ‘Public Access’. Similarly the information contained within Public Access does not constitute in any way a formal notification of a planning decision, and as such any actions taken as a result of information displayed on the site are undertaken entirely at the viewer’s own risk.
IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING AN UPGRADE TO THE MAPPING SERVICES
On Monday 11 August and Tuesday 12 August we will be installing an essential upgrade to our current Ordnance Survey based mapping systems.
On these days, there will be no access to the Public Access system and the button will be removed. In addition, the mapping facility within Public Access will not be available until 15 September.
To access this facility, click on the button below.
