MATTERS AFFECTING YOUR HEALTH
Your Council provides a health promotion service to improve health in the population through education, awareness, and the development of healthy public policies. This service is provided jointly by Horsham District Council and the West Sussex Primary Care Trust (PCT).
Current projects include:-
- Regular Smoking Cessation Groups
- Mens Health campaigns
- Women and health courses
- Exercise referral scheme in partnership with the Council's Leisure Department
- Diet and Nutrition campaigns
- Community Development initiatives
- A stategy for health improvement is currently being prepared.
