Fly Tipping
Horsham District Council will always seek to prosecute for illegal fly tipping where possible and encourages members of the public to report any incidents so that action can be taken. All household waste can be responsibly disposed of through a variety of routes. For advice on how to dispose of rubbish or unwanted items legally and responsibly please call 01403 733144.
Fly-tipping is a crime and fly-tippers will be prosecuted with fines of up to £20,000. If you witness fly-tipping please report this to Horsham District Council on 01403 733144 or via the Fly Tipping Reporting Form or the Environment Agency using their 24-hour hotline 0800 807060.
Highway Sweeping
Environmental Operational Services carries out highway sweeping on behalf of West Sussex County Council using two Scarab Magnums.
The sweeping programme is based on a 55 day cycle which sees all adopted roads with kerbs being swept with in this time frame.
Litter bin emptying
Environmental Operational Services provides litter bin emptying across this district on scheduled collection days.
Dog Waste bin emptying
Environmental Operational Services provides dog waste removal from bins strategically placed to provide adequate disposal points for our customers.
