Air Quality

Sussex Air logoAir quality is measured in Horsham District 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Three air quality monitoring stations are situated in Horsham, Storrington and Cowfold. Additionally a network of passive diffusion tube samplers is spread across a variety of locations in the District.

The Council currently monitors levels of two major pollutant, Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and fine dust particles known as a PM10.

Like similar local authorities Horsham District is required by law to review and assess air quality within their area on regular basis. Please see the Assessment page for full copies of the latest reports.
