Leisure Centres and Sports
Sport and recreational opportunities are close to hand in the Horsham District whether at your local leisure centre or through a variety of community based clubs and activities.
The District has several Leisure Centres offering a multitude of activities as well as some excellent golf courses such as Rookwood Golf Course in Warnham. We also offer less formal sporting activities including a free and comprehensive guided walks programme and a low cost cycling pack for both on and off-road cycling.
Community leisure activities are well catered for and our Leisure Link team work hard to help support, create and advise community groups and sports clubs across the District.
Leisure Link: From skateboarding to martial arts, from badminton to New Age Kurling, opportunities abound, whatever your age and level of fitness. Just let us know what you are interested in and we will try to help you find it. Leisure Link can provide information on where people can take part in their chosen leisure activity. Sports activities for children are well catered for with an extensive range of activities on offer throughout the year and during the school holidays, for both younger children and teenagers, and for children with special needs through the Aiming High project.
Set For Success - A New Young Sports Person Award Scheme is Launched
A new scheme is being launched across the Horsham District which will create and manage dedicated funds to encourage and support young sports men and women in the Horsham District towards achieving their goals of becoming Champions and Olympians of the future. West Sussex Library Service Local Societies and Organisations
This database gives details of over 4,000 local clubs and organisations in the West Sussex area. Here you can find a wide range of clubs and societies from knitting to karate, Scouts to Scottish dancing, fishing to flower arranging and lots more. The database is also a good way of publicising your own group. If you represent an organisation that is not currently included in the database, you can ask for a form at any West Sussex Library or print off a New Entry Form from the Library Service website.
