Strive for 5 Week

Check out what's on offer at your local leisure centre as part of Strive for 5 Week, now in its fourth year. Taking place across the District you'll discover a surprising range of activities on offer for the whole family and you can try them out this week for free or at very low cost.
The Pavilions In The Park will be celebrating the event with a Free Open Day on Saturday 24 April between 12noon and 4pm. Enjoy free activities for all the family to try, from trampolining, teen yoga, dance and drama to giant inflatables, synchronized swimming and more! Plus: Check out some great membership offers all week!

Facilities and activities - The Pavilions In The Park has recently seen a £130,000 investment in a range of improvements to the gym facilities as well as the installation of new equipment (completed November 2009). The centre offers a superb sports and leisure facility in Horsham Park, including indoor and outdoor all year round heated swimming and leisure pools, extensive fitness facilities, health suite, multi-purpose hall, children's indoor adventure play area, creche, refreshment facilities and more. The centre is managed by DC Leisure on behalf of Horsham District Council.
Associated clubs - Atlantis Swimming Club, Sunbeam Swimming Club for disabled people, Amphibians Triathlon, Horsham Amateur Swimming Club, Horsham Life Saving Club, Horsham Gymnastics Club, Tang Sou Dao, Tai Chi.
Kinetika Package Options - If you are using the leisure centre regularly, why not take out one of our kinetika packages? Including full usage of the fitness suite, swimming pools, aerobic class and health suites - you could save yourself pounds. Contact a Customer Advisor on tel: (01403) 219209 for further information.
Aerobics - Kinetika have a variety of aerobics and fitness classes available thoughout the week for all abilities. Ranging from Body Pump to Body Balance, our classes offer a fantastic workout. Visit www.thepavilionsinthepark.co.uk for the current programme.
14+ GYM Session - Special sessions are available for 14 - 16 year olds. These sesssions run Tuesdays and Thursdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm and 4.30pm - 5.30pm and on Saturdays from 2pm - 4pm. An induction session is required before using the gym.
'Swim 4 Health' - Personal fitness training has now gone poolside to help you achieve your personal best. A basic swimming ability is required. Sessions run on Mondays from 12.30 - 1pm and on Fridays from 1.30 - 2pm
Health Suite - Come and relax in our health suite, incorporating Sauna, Steam and Spa facilities. Please see opening hours for further details.
GP Referrals - The GP referral scheme is now available at "The Pavilions in the Park": A comprehensive fitness programme for those recovering from injury or illness. Whether it's to regain your fitness, or just starting out, our fully qualified instructors can advise and assist you. A GP Referral is required.
2009 - 2012 London Games Open Weekends
Three-day celebrations marking the countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games celebrations will take place annually across the country until 2012. These celebrations will include free Open Days every year at leisure centres across the District including free sports coaching and a range of free family activities. The 2010 Open Weekend will take place on Sunday 25th July. More details to follow in summer 2010.
