WE ARE LISTENING - PARKS SERVICES
We at Parks Services always try to provide a listening and responsive service. We are happy to receive your comments on our services and we do our best to respond positively to your requests. Listed below are some of the actions we have taken following your comments and requests to us:
Mrs V was concerned about the amount of rubbish accumulating on the open space beside a local primary school.
The Park Rangers inspected and cleared any rubbish on the same day and increased their regular litter picking visits to the site.
Mrs G complained that the ball games on the open space at the rear of her garden were causing broken panels in her fence.
A planting plan was drawn up using dense robust shrubs to protect the fence-line and was implemented that Autumn.
Mrs D had previously suffered flooding from Beech Road open space and requested that HDC increase the flood protection on this site.
Horsham District Council arranged for a ditch to be dug which connected up to the drainage system, so that any excess water would be taken away from the houses.
A resident backing onto Bennetts Field Recreation Ground requested that lighting be installed in the area to stop late night drinking in the play area.
Following consultation with local residents, improvements are being made to the site, the play area relocated and lighting installed.
