Billingshurst Leisure Centre, which opened in 2008, offers an exciting new swimming, sports and fitness centre including a 25 metre, four-lane indoor pool with easy-access steps and movable floor, an all-new 50-station fitness suite, and a new entrance foyer, reception and refreshment areas. The leisure centre also includes a sports hall, school gymnasium and all-weather pitch.

Strive for 5 Week
Saturday 24 April to Monday 3 May 2010 
Check out what's on offer at your local leisure centre as part of Strive for 5 Week, now in its fourth year. Taking place across the District you'll discover a surprising range of activities on offer for the whole family and you can try them out this week for free or at very low cost.

Billingshurst will be celebrating the event with a Free Open Day on Sunday 25th April between 9am and 2pm. Spend the morning trying something new - from body combat to judo, roller disco, table tennis, Pilates and more.  Plus inflatables and face painting for the little ones! Pool Opening Times

Monday to Friday: 6.30am - 10pm
Saturday: 7am - 5pm
Sunday: 7am - 7.30pm
Note: The pool may not be available for some of these times to allow for school swimming lessons. Please visit the centres main website to view the current timetable.

Sport and Fitness Opening Times
Monday to Friday: 6.30am – 10pm
Saturday: 7am – 5pm (later for private hire, parties etc)
Sunday: 7am – 7.30pm (later for private hire, club use etc)
The sports hall, school gymnasium and all-weather pitch are available for public use from 6pm on weekdays during the school term and throughout the day at weekends and during school holidays.

Swimming
The Billingshurst Community Swimming Pool is very much a community facility. The programme for the pool includes public swimming sessions, a full range of swimming lessons, club swimming and schools use. The facility includes:

  • a 25 metre x 4 lane pool with “easy access” steps
  • a movable floor over one third of the pool area. This will allow variation of water depth and so offer flexibility of use (e.g. providing shallow water for beginners’ swimming lessons)
  • a dedicated changing and shower area
  • a spectator area.

Swimming Lessons and Enrolment

Sport and Fitness
The new Fitness Suite includes a 50-station fitness centre with all new equipment including facilities for disabled customers as well as a dedicated changing facility.

Junior Activities

2009 - 2012 London Games Open Weekends
Three-day celebrations marking the countdown to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games celebrations will take place annually across the country until 2012. These celebrations will include free Open Days every year at leisure centres across the District including free sports coaching and a range of free family activities. The 2010 Open Weekend will take place on Sunday 25th July. More details to follow in summer 2010.
