The Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is a position statement setting out the Council's monitoring strategy in relation to Local Development Framework (LDF) indicator requirements. One of the main purposes of the AMR is to report on the progress made over the monitoring year in relation to producing the LDF documents set out in the Local Development Scheme. In addition the AMR reports on the LDF policy outcomes and significant effects through the use of indicator and target frameworks. At this early stage, the AMR continues to set out a baseline position in monitoring terms, as well as reporting on the implementation of the 1997 Local Plan in its final years of operation.
As part of the statutory requirements which this Council has to meet in relation to the Local Development Framework, the Annual Monitoring Report has been published and was submitted to the Government Office for the South East before the 31 December 2007. As required, the current AMR covers the monitoring period from 1 April 2006 until 31 March 2007.
