Revamp To Piries Place Car Park
16th July 2001
MAJOR work started on Monday (16 July) to revamp the appearance and condition of Piries Place car park in Horsham
The well used car park and public lavatories, owned by Horsham District Council, will remain open during the estimated ten week programme of improvements.
The work, costing £264,000, will see each uncovered floor of the car park completely resurfaced. As well as this, all ceilings will be decorated and a new colour coding system will also be introduced to assist customers.
Robert Skeet, Chief Technical Officer at Horsham District Council said: "We are aiming to cause as little disruption as possible to customers and those living in Burton Court during these important works. We have chosen the quiet summer holiday period to do most of the work."
