Food Safety Courses A Big Success
23rd July 2001
TWENTY SIX staff from Chinese and Cantonese restaurants in the Horsham district have taken advantage of Horsham District Council’s training in food safety.
Of these, nine managers took the higher level of training offered in hazard analysis, which complies with a new internationally agreed approach to food safety.
Council Chairman Cllr Mrs Claire Vickers presented certificates of achievement to all involved on Monday (23 July 01) and said:
"It is very encouraging to see so many caterers in the Chinese and Cantonese communities have taken and passed the basic food hygiene exam and hazard analysis training. We look forward to welcoming more caterers onto these courses from all communities."
The courses, which cost £50 per person, are run by the Council’s Environmental Health Department on an ongoing basis. They are open to all communities and restaurant traders in the Horsham district. More details from Ray Grant on tel: 01403 215415
