MicroBiz – crucial advice for small, start up & home based businesses
12th January 2005
MICROBIZ – the Horsham District’s premier event for small, start up and home based businesses – returns to the Drill Hall in Horsham on Saturday 12 March.
The MicroBiz Fair brings together experts from across the business spectrum, offering advice on everything from tax to telecommunications, whilst also presenting the opportunity to attend seminars and network with likeminded professionals.
The event’s purpose is entirely to help and develop the local economy of the Horsham District and follows on from research by Horsham District Council in finding out the needs of the many home based businesses in the area.
Cllr Roger Paterson, Cabinet Member for Economic Development and IT at Horsham District Council, encouraged people to attend and said:
“This event is a real must for anyone in our District who is running a small business, maybe from home, or thinking about starting one.
“Not only is the event free but so are the rolling seminars and networking table…..all you need to do is take away just one really good idea to put into practice and it will have been worthwhile to attend!”
Seminars planned for this year include tax issues from the Inland Revenue, advice for all businesses from the Enterprise Centre and marketing and PR matters. The speakers will hold separate talks for new businesses and for established companies.
The Microbiz Fair will take place on Saturday 12 March 2005 from 10am-4pm at Horsham’s Drill Hall. Entry is free. The event is organised by Horsham District Council and sponsored by SEEDA and Sussex Enterprise.
