Table Manners launches Horsham Restaurant Scheme

17th January 2006

SOME of Horsham’s best restaurants and The Capitol theatre have teamed up to launch the Restaurant Partnership Scheme.

In conjunction with the Horsham Traders’ Guild, El Bodegon, Pizza Express, Stan’s Way House, The Black Jug, Les Deux Garcons, the China Brasserie and George’s Greek Restaurant have all signed up to offer pre-theatre meal deals in conjunction with the popular North Street theatre.

Just some of the offers include one free bottle of house wine or 10% off the total bill for four people at El Bodegon, Piries Place; two courses from the theatre menu at Black Jug, North Street for £13.95; a pre-theatre two course set menu at certain times at China Brasserie, North Street.

Customers need to produce their theatre tickets/vouchers on arrival and most restaurants require pre-booking.

The Restaurant Partnership Scheme launches to coincide with the appropriately named play, Table Manners, at The Capitol on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 January. The production stars a superb cast including Robert Duncan (Drop The Dead Donkey), Sabina Franklyn (Keep It In The Family), David Callister, a favourite with Horsham audiences, and West End actress Anita Graham.

Garry Mortimer-Cook, Town Centres Manager at Horsham District Council said: “With the Horsham Traders’ Guild, we are looking at ways to develop links between the town’s leisure facilities and businesses, so having spotted the Table Manners play it was decided that it was the perfect time for The Capitol to launch a partnership with local restaurants.”

He added: “With this scheme, people can take advantage of some great restaurant offers in combination with the fantastic productions coming up at The Capitol. It also highlights the fact that in Horsham everything you need for a great evening out is all within just a very short walk.”

Michael Gattrell, General Manager of The Capitol said: “The Capitol is pleased to be associated with this new scheme working in partnership with the Horsham Traders’ Guild to ensure patrons of the venue support local businesses and their services.”
