Horsham Park Users Survey Report Available Now.
18th December 2006
A general consultation of the local community and users of Horsham Park was carried out earlier this year, the results for which are now published and available for public access on the Horsham Park page of this website.
Approximately 2000 questionnaires were distributed to a wide range of locations as well as being distributed directly to a variety of groups and societies including Friends of Horsham Park, Youth Council, Access Forum (HACVS), Horsham Bowls Club, and Collyer’s College. The questionnaire was also available to download from the Council website.
The Friends of Horsham Park were involved in both compiling the questions and distributing the questionnaire.
There was a very positive response and 420 completed surveys were analysed, representing a fairly even spread of age groups and gender. Helpful feedback was also received from students at Collyer’s 6th Form College.
The overall satisfaction level for Horsham Park is very high, with less than 2% expressing dissatisfaction with the Park overall. The overall satisfaction rate was 86%.
A number of helpful issues were raised by the survey, the results of which are now published under the Horsham Park page of the Council's website. The findings from the survey have already been distributed to the Friends of Horsham Park.
Having such a strong response will help inform the direction of an updated management plan for Horsham Park, a consultation draft which is to be published in the new year.
