Become a District Councillor

ANYONE who cares passionately about the Horsham District, local issues and where they live might want to consider standing to become a councillor with Horsham District Council.
With the local elections taking place on 3 May 2007, potential candidates are being reminded that now's the time to consider putting an application in.
Being a District Councillor is a fulfilling activity which involves a great deal of work and commitment. Allowances can be claimed for the role.
Applicants should have lived or worked in the Horsham District for the last 12 months, they should be 18 years old or over as well as being citizens of the European Union or Commonwealth.
The notice of election for this year’s local elections is 23 March 2007 and application forms for candidates will be available soon from Horsham District Council. The closing date for nominations is 4 April.
