Refuse and recycling collections at Easter
1st April 2007
AS IN previous years, because of the two Easter Bank Holidays, household recycling and refuse collection services are subject to change.
Across the Horsham District there will be no collections of household recycling or refuse on Good Friday (6 April) or Easter Monday (9 April).
Those homes that would normally have had their cans with plastic bottles collected on Friday 6 April will have this collection made on Tuesday 10 April with a collection of green garden waste with non-corrugated card from Zone A properties.
From Wednesday 11 April collections will be delayed, with Monday’s collection falling on the Wednesday, Tuesday’s on the Thursday, Wednesday’s on the Friday and Thursday’s on the Saturday. Recycling collections during that period will be newspapers with magazines and green garden waste with non-corrugated card from properties in Zone B.
Those homes that would normally have had their newspapers with magazines collected on Friday 13 April will have this collection made on Monday 16 April with those in Zone B also having their collection of green garden waste with non-corrugated card.
From Tuesday 17 April, all collections for the remainder of the week will be delayed by one day finishing with Friday’s collection being made on Saturday 21 April. Recycling collections during that period will be cans with plastic bottles and green garden waste with non-corrugated card from properties in Zone A.
All cleansing and other services including the collection of glass from the District’s Community Recycling Points will continue as normal over this period.
The County Council’s Household Waste Recycling Centres will be open throughout the holiday period. The Mobile Civic Amenity Services operated by Horsham District Council on behalf of the County Council will operate as normal over the Easter weekend with services on the following two weekends all falling on the Sunday.
For details of zones, collection days and any other queries, householders are invited to contact (01403) 733144.
