Discover Horsham Tourist Information - Not Just For Tourists!

Pop into the Tourist Information Centre during the week of 21 to 29 April and enjoy a range of special events, discount vouchers to local attractions and free goodie bags to help promote the range of services on offer for both the visiting tourist and Horsham District residents seeking local advice and information.
The launch of the week (Saturday 21 April) sees the Newhaven Youth Marching Band playing classics in Horsham’s Carfax, Sun Oak Clog and Broadwood Sword and Morris Men performing in Horsham Museum’s Courtyard and Children can partake in clay workshops at the Museum, where they can create their own St Georges Dragon in aid of the forthcoming St Georges Day celebrations on Monday 23 April.
On Sunday 22 April, over 1000 members of Horsham Scouts will participate in the annual event to celebrate scouting and to renew their scout promise. The parade will leave at 2.30pm from North Street via Park Street / East Street to the Carfax Bandstand.
In aid of St Georges Day on Monday 23 April, Horsham Museum will be re-publishing the illustrated 1614 account of the dragon. Never before in Horsham has the full story of the St Leonard’s Forest Dragon been told.
There will be lots of things to do throughout the week, completely free of charge. Pop into the Tourist Information Centre and pick up your free ‘goodie bag’ together with helium balloons for the kids. Hurry whilst stocks last.
For one week only, try out the ‘Passport to Discovery’ where you can take any or all of four trails around Horsham Museum including ‘The Weird & The Wonderful’, ‘The Regally Rich and the Working Wonders’, ‘Creatures, Beasts & Critters’ and ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles’.
Enter our Tourist Information Centre competition and prize draw with the chance to win tickets to a show of your choice at The Capitol throughout May and June (restrictions apply to some shows).
Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 April introduces ‘Your Big Sussex Weekend’ where Sussex residents can take advantage of special offers and discounts, allowing them to get out and visit the attractions on their own doorstep. Pick up vouchers in advance from the Tourist Information Centre.
