Flip’d is new name for SNAP

9th May 2007

A NEW club night with an urban feel is being launched in Horsham next week.

The club, which is specifically for young people is called “Flip’d” (formerly known as SNAP), is an alcohol, tobacco and drug free event for 13 to 17 year olds.

Flip'd represents a giant leap forward from the old SNAP dance concept by retaining its strong anti-drug, anti-smoke and no alcohol ethos but there is a much stronger emphasis on cutting edge live performers.

Proof of this will be next Friday when Resident DJ will be on stage along with guest performances from acclaimed artists such as MC Dred, MC Easy, MC IF-e and the Sickness Legion.

Flip’d will take place at the Drill Hall, Denne Road, Horsham on Friday 18 May between 7.30pm and 10.30pm and will also feature free prizes and giveaways, as well as the opportunity for the young people to have their mobile ‘phones security marked for free.

All young people will be searched on entry to the event by professional security staff.

Flip’d is organised by Horsham District Council in partnership with the Youth Service and Sussex Police.

Tickets cost £5 (£2.50 Leisure Access Card), and are very limited so early booking is strongly advised. They are available for 13-17 year olds only from venues in Horsham including the Pavilions in the Park leisure complex and The Capitol box office 01403 750220 as well as Forest Youth Wing.
