New Active Zone for Horsham Teenagers
27th September 2007
Horsham District Council is pleased to announce the completion of a new Active Zone for children aged 12 - 17 years at Granary Way in South West Horsham.
This free and open access zone has been developed within the footprint of the old play area and provides equipment to allow older children to exercise, play around and sit and chat with their friends. The Active Zone has been designed with the help of young people from the youth club and regular visitors to the Needles Recreation Ground.
Funded by Horsham District Council, this new concept in play provision meets the need highlighted in the new Horsham District Play Strategy for more facilities for older children. Younger children have not been forgotten as the Groombridge Way Play Area nearby is currently being refurbished with new equipment for children under the age of 12.
