FREE food safety courses for the voluntary sector start next week

FREE food safety courses are starting a week today (5 October) for people who prepare food in the voluntary sector.
Horsham District Council is keen to provide both formal and informal food hygiene training and advice to people working in the voluntary sector in the Horsham District who prepare or cook food for other people, especially people in vulnerable groups.
A programme of free to attend one day (6 hour) food hygiene training courses will be held each month in Horsham and at village locations starting from next week (5 October 2007) with more course dates in October, November, January and February.
The one day courses will be run by Horsham District Council’s Chartered Institute of Environmental Health registered trainers.

Note to editors
The following dates/venues have been booked for running Foundation Level food hygiene courses for voluntary workers as part of Horsham District Council’s Food Standards Agency funded food hygiene initiative. The course lasts one day (6 hours).
