Transport service for the Billingshurst area

6 March 2008

A VILLAGE links transport is being operated in the Billingshurst area.

The Billi-links service operates out of Billingshurst and serves 16 villages to the east and west of the market town, ranging from Plaistow and Ifold to Barns Green and Shipley.

It provides a vital link to local villages and communities, and can give residents without transport access to shops, leisure facilities, evenings out, health centres and adult education.  It also provides access to the rail and buses services offered in Billingshurst.

Journeys are made in modern, comfortable vehicles and are driven by licensed, friendly drivers. Journeys must be pre-booked and cost £2 each way; discounts apply for shared journeys.

There are four journeys on Mondays and Wednesdays, six on Fridays and five on Saturdays, making it ideal for weekend shopping, outings, doctor’s appointments or other day to day needs.

Billi-links is funded by Horsham District Council and West Sussex County Council.

For more information on bookings, discounts or pick up times, please call West Sussex County Council’s Travel Centre on 01730 815518 (8am-5pm, Monday to Saturday).
