Life is for Living 2008 - invitation to stand holders

20 March 2008

LOCAL organisations are being encouraged to apply early for a stand at this year’s Life is for Living event.

Life is for Living is an event for over 50s that offers an opportunity to find out about different services and support available to them.

The aim of the event is to demonstrate how older people can continue to have a good quality of life and how they can remain active and lead independent lives.

Last year’s event was a huge success, with over 500 people attending and demand for stands is expected to be high.

A number of organisations, including Club 50+ at Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre and Horsham Park Bowls Club, increased their membership following the event.

Life is for Living 2008 will take place on Thursday 18 September from 12 noon to 4pm at Broadbridge Health Leisure Centre near Horsham.

Life is for Living is organised by a range of partners, including Horsham Area Council for Voluntary Service, Horsham District Age Concern, Horsham District Council, West Sussex Primary Care Trust and West Sussex Social and Caring Services.  The venue for the event has been generously provided free of charge by Broadbridge Heath Leisure Centre (operated by DC Leisure Management Ltd).

For more information about the event or to enquire about booking a stand, please contact Horsham District Council on 01403 215137 or email community.development@horsham.gov.uk
