‘Stressbuster’ sessions for sixth formers
21 April 2008
FREE, weekly stress busting sessions for 16-18 year olds start in Horsham on Tuesday (22 April) in the lead up to this summer’s A Level examinations.
Offering a wealth of information, support and advice on handling stress, planning for the future and more, the stress busting sessions aim to help students feel more relaxed and better equipped to cope with any worries.
Exams are a big worry for most young people and in recent feedback, young people have said they can feel panic stricken, overburdened and overwhelmed.
The stress buster scheme is a joint venture between Horsham District Council and West Sussex Youth Service and is designed to address concerns expressed by young people who attend the Holbrook Youth Centre in Horsham. It is supported by Connexions and Collyer’s Sixth Form College, Horsham.
Sessions will be held weekly on Tuesdays from 22 April to 27 May, from 4.30pm to 6.30pm at Horsham Youth Centre, Hurst Road Horsham and are free to attend.
