Telling Tales – how to write a story
14 May 2008
BUDDING local authors will have their work displayed at The Capitol theatre in Horsham for the rest of May.
The Telling Tales exhibition has been organised by Horsham District Council as the result of a recent creative writing project where professional writers offered support and advice to aspiring authors.
Participants were able to share their ideas with the rest of the group in a supportive and creative environment and were then invited to submit a story to be exhibited at The Capitol between 1 May and 1 June 2008. Visitors can expect to find an installation of stories, words and books with information about future writing workshops.
On Saturday 24 May 2008 writer and tutor Catherine Smith, who led the fiction writing workshops at Steyning Library, will be giving advice on how to start and continue writing at The Capitol between 11.30am – 12.30pm.
During the afternoon Catherine will then be holding free one to one writing surgeries in the Gallery.
Spaces for the talk and surgeries are limited, so must be booked by calling The Capitol Box Office on 01403 750220.
