Scene it

FOUR amateur dramatic companies working together on one performance - is this a first?
Scene it is a project involving small, non-professional theatre groups from across West Sussex, who have been working with professional theatre practitioners to create an evening’s performance that will be showcased at The Capitol, Horsham on Sunday 8 June at 7.30pm.
The groups involved are Barchester Players, Pitchy Breath, Manor Theatre group and Four of One Six of Another, all of which attended a day of workshops to launch the project which hosted by Chichester Festival Theatre.
The workshop and rehearsal process have been a great success, and it is hoped that if project organisers West Sussex Arts Partnership can secure future funding it will be repeated, opening it up to more groups from across the County.
Project leader Luna Russell said:
“It has been great to see director David Heley taking the groups under his wing to produce what I am certain will be an entertaining evening’s theatre performance.
”All of the groups have been working extremely hard on devising a selection of original pieces which David has pulled together, entwining them into one performance.”
Tickets cost just £5.00 and can be booked by calling The Capitol box office on 01403 750220.
West Sussex Arts Partnership - a collaboration between the Borough, Districts, County Council and Arts Council England, South East – working together to raise the profile of the arts across West Sussex.
