Enjoy a creative Christmas
18 November 2008
HORSHAM’S first Christmas Arts and Crafts Fair promises to be a festive extravaganza, say its organisers.
Held at The Capitol, Horsham, the free to enter fair will feature a range of local artists showcasing everything from cards, ceramics and paintings to textiles and glass.
The fair will include work from:
- Alison Ingram - fantastic abstract paintings using harmonious colour and design to unite the painting and her own unique interpretation of wildlife
- Anne Davies – her work is made from fabrics which are reclaimed. For many of the pieces she uses techniques to bring life unwanted fabrics to create unique and one off designs
- Beryl Dold - paintings and drawing as well as greetings cards. Many different styles with natural materials from the garden and countryside
- Sussex Sculpture and Printmaking Studios - sculptures, collographs and dry point/chine colle etchings
- Four Hands - stylish, contemporary, elegant and affordable hand etched glassware
“It’s the perfect opportunity to come and meet talented artists and makers,” said Luna Russell, Arts Development Officer at Horsham District Council.
“As well as discovering great local art, you might find a special and unique gift or stocking filler - and there’s a price range to suit all budgets!”
Organised by Horsham District Council, admission is free and the fair opens11am – 5pm on Saturday 29 November and 12:30pm – 4:30pm on Sunday 30 November at The Capitol, North Street, Horsham.
