Makeover for public loos in Steyning High Street
19 November 2008
STEYNING High Street’s public toilets are set to get a makeover from next Monday (24 November).
The work, which will cost approx. £70,000 and take about two months to complete, will see the well used public facility fully updated and modernised.
Two new unisex toilets will be put in place of the old ones and include baby changing facilities and disabled access. Storage space will also be created.
The public toilets will remain free to use when re-opened in January.
Whilst the work is underway, a unisex toilet will be available at the location. Public toilets are also available at the Steyning Centre in Fletchers Croft.
Funding for the improvements has come from Horsham District Council, Steyning Parish Council, SEEDA (as part of a successful bid achieved by the Steyning Community Partnership) and planning money.
