Improvements to Horsham’s Causeway
20 September 2008
HORSHAM’S Causeway is seeing a minor facelift this month.
A new paved path of York stone is to be laid across the grass verge by Furneaux Walk and granite paving will replace the damaged areas of grass at the end of the Causeway island and at the entrance to Manor House where vehicle damage has occurred.
The work should be complete by early December.
This has been a long running project and consultations have included The Horsham Society, Causeway residents and Denne Neighbourhood Council.
The work has been funded by Horsham District Council, which includes a contribution from Sunleys for its development of the old RSPCA site.
A new memorial bench donated by Denne Neighbourhood Council has also recently been installed.
