HORSHAM COMMUNITY
It is integral to Horsham District Council’s ICT (Information Communications Technology) Strategy that all aspects of the community, whether it be the individual, local business, public services or the parish councils, participate in identifying those services required/suitable for electronic delivery. They will also participate in setting priorities for services availability, when they will be implemented and the means by which they will be delivered.
It is important to recognise that it is participation in developing the strategy and priorities and not dictating the priorities. The ultimate setting of priorities must be a mixture of what is requested and what is practical. If there is a need to upgrade or replace the "back office" to a level where it can sustain the demand for service that is likely to result from an electronic interaction with the public, then this may delay delivery of the ultimate solution. However, interim solutions may be made available where practicable.
The Key Objective is to ensure that the community has a say in what services are required, and the priority in which they would like to see them delivered.
