RESIDENTS - CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE

Residents’ Permits are available to residents who live within the CPZ, own a vehicle and who do not have adequate off street parking facilities. Application forms are available from the Council. Proof of residence and vehicle ownership will be needed at the time of application.
Residents’ Permits are only valid if they are clearly displayed on the near-side of the windscreen of the vehicle to which they relate and if the vehicle is parked in an appropriate parking bay. They are not valid in any of Horsham’s car parks.
Residents who hold a Residents’ Permit may park the related vehicle in any parking bay where permit parking is allowed, (marked with white lines on the road), within the zone specified on the permit. Residents wanting to park in the Zones different to that shown on their permit will need to use pay and display.
Where access to residents’ driveways needs to be kept clear, an Access Protection (white) line will be marked on the road edge. No one is permitted to park in these areas.
Wherever possible parking bays have been located outside or near residential properties. However, there is no guarantee that residents will always be able to park outside their own property.
If a resident moves out of the CPZ or to another zone within the CPZ, the permit must be returned to Horsham District Council. A new one will be issued, if appropriate. Refunds for cancelled permits will be paid for each remaining full calendar month.
