VISITORS - CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE

Residents’ Visitor Permits
Residents’ Visitor Permits are valid within the Zone in which the resident lives and may only be purchased by the resident for use by the visitors to their property who need to park on the road during the hours of parking control. They are not valid in any of Horsham’s car parks.
Residents’ Visitor Permits cost 20p and are valid for two hours and may be purchased in advance in books of ten for £2.
Residents’ Visitor Permits are intended for use only by genuine visitors to residents living within the CPZ. Visitors can of course also use pay and display where applicable if they only need to park for a short period.
Visitor Permits are only available from Horsham District Council at the following address:

Office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm - Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.00pm - Monday to Friday. The staff will be pleased to assist you with your enquiries should you wish to call in or telephone.
Proof of identity and address will be needed upon application.
How to use Residents’ Visitor Permits
The permit must be validated on the day of use by scratching the time of arrival and the relevant month, date and year. The permit should then be clearly displayed in the vehicle, in accordance with instructions on the back.
Non-Resident Permits
A limited number of Non-Resident Permits may be available to individuals who live outside the CPZ. Their use is restricted to the road specified on the permit.
If you would like to be considered for a Non-Resident Permit please contact Horsham District Council.
Parking for healthcare personnel
Eligible medical staff and associated care personnel who need to visit patients at home within the CPZ will be issued with special permits. These enable them to park in any parking bay within the CPZ, without time limit whilst carrying out their duties. Full details are available from Horsham District Council.
Parking for disabled people
Drivers who display a disabled person’s Blue/Orange Badge may park without payment or time limit in any pay and display parking bay. They may not park in permit holder only bays unless they also possess a resident’s permit for that zone.
In addition, designated disabled persons’ parking bays are provided in various locations around the town centre.
Disabled drivers who live within the CPZ and do not have a parking bay marked out for their use, may apply for a ‘free residents’ permit for their zone of residence.
Blue/Orange Badge holders should note that they are not exempt from parking restrictions where loading bays apply and they cannot park within marked out loading bays.
