POLICE SERVICE

Sussex is divided into six geographical divisions, each led by a chief superintendent as divisional commander. Divisions are then divided into districts. Each district is commanded by a chief inspector.
The neighbourhood policing teams are key to this. They run your local police station, now open longer, and play a huge role in policing the district, from dealing with 999 calls to building long-term initiatives that improve the quality of life.
The police have joined up with the rural community of Horsham to launch Farm and Countryside Watch and help reduce rural crime, another clear demonstration of our close links with the community. For further information, visit www.sussex.police.uk
