Horsham Piazza Italia

This Easter, Horsham, acclaimed as one of the top ten best places to live in the country for the second year running was offered a significant slice of Italian life to shoppers and visitors alike.

The very centre of the charming historic market town, the Carfax, was the focus of activities, bringing the town alive with a family Easter celebration full of fun, with an Italian flavour. Below is a taste of what happened this year.

Friday21 March:10am - 5pm, Saturday22 March: 9am - 5pm

Horsham Good Friday Gathering - Horsham Churches Together
Carfax Bandstand 11.10am. Public Processions of Witness departed at 11am from:

  • Park entrance opposite the Capitol, North Street.
  • URC Church, Springfield Road
  • St Marys Church, The Causeway

Sussex Ferraris and GB Ducatis - Fridaysaw the Sussex Ferrari Owners Club and Ducati Owners Club of GB paradeinto the town down North Street (best vantage point opposite The Capitol) to park in East Street and Market Square. There were approximately 40 Ferraris and Ducatis.

Italian Car Parade and Display - Saturday saw a selection of famous Italian cars parade into the town, down North Street (best vantage point opposite The Capitol) to park in East Street and Market Square. Cars included Alfa Romeo, De Tomaso, Lamborghini and Maserati.

Roman Horsham - Saturday at Horsham Museum saw visitors discovering Horsham's fascinating Roman History in an exclusive exhibition.

Mercury FM's Thunder - led the car parades into Horsham before parking in the Carfax.

The Glitter Girls - from 'All That Glitters' were in town handing out their 10% off vouchers.

Hepworth & Co Festival Beer Station - award-winning brewery Hepworth & Co presented their Piazza Italia festival beer and exclusive festival merchandise (bottles to take away).

Paddington Bear and Kidz Stuff - Paddington Bear visited Horsham for his Italian Holiday. There was also news of this year's exciting Kidz Stuff event on 31 May and 1 June.

Sussex Newspapers - the promotions team had special editions of the West Sussex County Times as well as 'goodie bags'.

Chestnut Tree House - we were supporting Chestnut Tree House on Friday - the Sussex Children's Hospice.

Action Medical Research - we were supporing Action Medical Research on Saturday.

Horsham Dines Italian - Horsham’s Italian eateries came together for promotions, special menus and tastings.
