Hills Cemetery is the largest cemetery in operation in Horsham and is located in a peaceful area close to Guildford Road on the western outskirts of the town.
The cemetery was planned and tastefully laid out in the late Victorian / early Edwardian era and is approached by an attractive tree-lined avenue. The site offers the use of an attractive chapel for services of any denomination or secular funeral and can seat up to 50 people. Adjacent to the chapel is a comfortable waiting and meeting room which can also be used as an overspill Chapel with the service relayed from the Chapel. The chapel is a pleasant and well maintained building which provides a peaceful and dignified atmosphere.
Music is provided by an advanced and quality electric piano/organ which has the facility to play pre-recorded instrumental pieces. The attractive and spacious meeting room may be hired separately for wakes.
The cemetery has been significantly improved in recent years and is a most attractive area with mature plantings of trees and shrubs. The grounds staff are committed to maintaining and improving the quality of this attractive area.
There are specific areas set aside for burials and the interment of ashes.
