ANTI-SOCIAL DRIVING

Operation Crackdown

Did you know that as well as abandoned vehicles, you can report any of the below offences through the Operation Crackdown website?

  • Speeding
  • Thoughtless driving or riding
  • Under age drivers or riders
  • Drink or drug related driving or riding
  • Tailgating
  • Mobile phone use
  • Vehicles in an unsafe condition
  • Untaxed cars or motorbikes

If you see someone driving in an anti-social manner, or spot an abandoned vehicle it is important that you

  • Pull over safely at the side of the road, or ask a passenger to write down details
  • Vehicle make, model, colour and number plate will all help enquiries
  • When noting the location, use house numbers or shop and road names to pinpoint where the incident happened, or where you spotted the vehicle
  • Write a brief description of what you saw, while it is still fresh in your mind

Once you have made your report - either online through the Operation Crackdown website or by telephone on 01243 642222 – your information will be analysed and appropriate action will be taken.

You can also report an Abandoned Vehicle on the same website.
