BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT WORKING GROUP

The Business Improvement WG is made up of 5 non-Executive Council Members. The Business Improvement Working Group is to focus on those service plan actions which have the best chance of positively benefiting the residents of the Horsham District or changes which could adversely affect service quality. The terms of reference of the Group are to consider and make recommendations to the Scrutiny & Overview Committee on the following:
- Scrutinise the draft business improvement plan, evaluating the potential impact on service quality.
- Monitor progress with individual improvement reviews and key elements of the plan, at appropriate stages, identifying the impact of any significant deviations.
- To consult with staff, Councillors, residents, and if necessary expert advisors, to recommend priority areas of operational improvement towards greater efficiency and value for money.
- Research best practice with other authorities, or similar private sector organisations, and recommend adoption where applicable.
- Report annually to the Council on business improvements achieved to date against objectives.
