COUNCIL'S STATEMENT OF ACCOUNTS FOR 2007/08
The Council’s accounts are an important element in demonstrating the stewardship of public money.
It is the responsibility of the Director of Resources to ensure the preparation of the Statement of Accounts in accordance with statutory and accounting requirements. The Statement of Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2008 was approved by the Council's Accounts, Audit and Governance Committee on 25th June 2008.
Interested members of the public had a statutory right to inspect the accounts. The accounts were available for inspection from 7 July 2007 to 1st August 2008 and these dates were advertised in the local newspaper, the West Sussex County Times, on 13 June 2008.
