Summer activities for young people

There are lots of paid for and free activities taking place over the summer holidays for young people in Horsham District.

Activities across the District

We have several youth providers putting on activities for young people across the summer.

Horsham Youth Centre

On Monday 1st, Tuesday 2nd & Thursday 4th August the new Youth Café will be open at Horsham Youth Centre, Hurst Road, RH12 2DN.

Drop in anytime between 10 - 4  for drinks, snacks and free activities & games.

There will also be FREE kickboxing sessions at 2pm on Tuesday and Thursday.

Henfield Youth Centre

Henfield Youth Club are running a programme of events across the summer for Juniors sand Seniors, this includes trips to the Triangle and laser day, visits from the Gaming Van - to find out more please check out their Facebook Page

Our Storrington Neighbourhood Wardens, are hosting a fun day at Chanctonbury leisure centre on Monday 22 August, 11am - 3pm for children 11+ to enjoy a fun-fuelled afternoon of activities.

Including a remote climbing wall and sports activities hosted by the leisure centre. There will also be our Mobile Community Hub there on the day which provides young people a safe space to meet, grab a bite to eat and talk.


Free summer holiday sports sessions with our Billingshurst neighbourhood Wardens in Lower Station Recreation Ground, Wednesdays August 3rd, 10th, 17th & 24th between 1pm-3pm.

Various sports including Shoretrax equipment - bring your bike!

Early Help Summer Drop In

The West Sussex Dedicated Schools Team are running free weekly drop ins at the Horsham Family Hub, The Needles Neighbourhood Centre, Three Acres, Horsham, RH12 1RS.

These sessions are for pupils, students and their families currently attending a school in the Horsham District area, or moving to a Horsham school in the new term where you can come and chat with us about any worries you might have.

The drop in sessions are every Friday during the Summer holidays 9am-4pm.

Paid holiday activities

Sussex Wildlife Trust Summer Holiday Clubs - pond dipping, den building, rock pooling, bug catching & much more in Woods Mill Henfield, Rye Harbour and Crawley Tilgate park.

The Bridge Leisure Centre is offering bookable holiday camp and sport sessions.

South Coast Sports are delivering a variety of fun and engaging sports sessions throughout the school holidays across West Sussex.

Barracudas run fun multi-activity summer camps for children aged 4½ to 14 years.

Whizz Kids  have holiday playschemes running at various locations in Sussex.

Horsham Sports Services runs sport, art and play camp days in most school holiday weeks catering for 5-12 year olds.

Junior tennis club at Holbrook Club

Kids All Star Sports football camp and a Multi Sports multi sports camp.
