Coronavirus (COVID-19): Read the latest news and service updates
There are 27 Community Volunteer Hubs in Horsham District that have been set up to help vulnerable people who are having to self-isolate due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.
The Hubs are manned by volunteers, giving practical help such as going for shopping and medicines, and providing emotional support, with a friendly phone call for those who are isolated at home.
Please use our online tool to find your local Community Volunteer Hub. Select an area from the drop-down list to view the contact details for its nearest hub.
Sussex Police and our Community Safety team have confirmed that fraudsters are using these uncertain times to take advantage of people, especially the elderly and vulnerable.
Our Community Hub volunteers will always carry ID and will not take payment for goods until after they have delivered them. If a volunteer asks you to give them money before they have delivered your goods, please do not do this – call your local hub instead. Do not give your bank card to a volunteer or share any card or account details with them. We have had reports of fraudsters claiming to be volunteers, taking payment and not returning with a person’s shopping. Please call 01403 215230 if you are unsure of a volunteer process.
