Report fly tipping

We are responsible for removing illegally dumped waste from public land. The removal of illegally dumped waste from private land is the responsibility of the landowner.

The penalty for fly tipping is a fine of up to £50,000 and/or 12 months imprisonment.

If you find fly-tipped waste, please report it to us. If you see someone fly tipping, do not stop them yourself.

Try and take a photograph and note down the following:

• Location - What3Words or street name can be used
• Time and date
• The vehicle's number plate
• Description of the vehicle - including make, model and any noticeable features
• Any phone numbers on the vehicle
• The type of rubbish being dumped
