A Lawful Development Certificate is a way to be certain that the existing use of a building is lawful, or that your proposal does not require planning permission.

A Lawful Development Certificate is not compulsory, but it can be useful to have.

A Lawful Development certificate  application that includes  operational works such as extensions / installations requires:

  • Block Plan
  • Elevations (Existing and Proposed)
  • Floor Layout / Plans (Existing and Proposed)
  • Section Plans (Existing and Proposed)
  • Roof Plans (Existing and Proposed)

Additional

To support your application and avoid delays past validation you will need:

  • Evidence (in cases of existing use)
  • Planning Statement
  • Photo Montage
