Buy Local

Buy Local header graphic

This winter we're asking our residents to Buy Local and support the Horsham District businesses who have worked tirelessly throughout the lockdown to deliver vital services.

Local retailers need our support now more than ever, and we've worked with Visit Horsham to make it easy for you to Buy Local online in the run-up to Christmas.

Why buy local?

Every time you buy from a local business, that's a pound that stays in the local economy. That's local jobs for local people, local companies that keep trading, and work for local tradespeople.

Buy locally sourced gifts online with Virtual Horsham

The Virtual Horsham shopping tool allows you to order products from local stores like Carmela Deli (pictured) to click and collect or be delivered.

The portal makes it easy for you to continue to purchase from any local independent businesses that are trading online in the run up to Christmas.

Get gift inspiration from the Gift Hunters

Not sure what to get someone for Christmas? Our Gift Hunters can help!

Follow intrepid purchasers as they hunt down those personal presents for the relatives and friends in our District’s high streets and online stores.

The series of Gift Hunter videos will be released throughout November, showing a family shopping locally online for their presents for each other, taking advantage of the many local businesses that have adapted their services to include, click and collect and home delivery options.

Win a gift bundle worth over £300

The presents featured in the videos are gathered together to create one massive gift bundle worth over £300 for viewers to win.

To enter the competition you will have to become a Horsham District Gift Hunter and explore local business websites picking up your own present ideas and completing the quiz set on the Horsham Time Well Spent Facebook page.
