Royal British Legion Events

Horsham District Council is proud to work alongside the Royal British Legion to organise and support a number of events, celebrations and commemorations throughout the year that recognise the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community. These occasions provide an opportunity for residents, veterans, serving personnel and visitors to come together to reflect, remember and show their support for those who have served, past and present.

Many of these events take place at Horsham town’s War Memorial, located in The Carfax, which acts as a focal point for civic remembrance and community gatherings. Members of the public are warmly encouraged to attend these events, whether to observe, participate in services, or simply stand alongside others in recognition of the Armed Forces community. Your presence helps to ensure that the spirit of remembrance and appreciation continues to be shared across generations.

Below you will find some of the key Armed Forces–related dates and events taking place in Horsham during 2026. This calendar will be updated where necessary, and additional information will be provided closer to each event.
