Dog bins go digital in Horsham

13 Dec 2019

Horsham District Council has recently introduced a new slicker way to provide requests for service related to dog waste bins.

QR codes have been attached to all dog waste bins, creating a live link to the “Report it” section of the Council’s website, enabling dog walkers and residents to report any problems direct, when they are out and about.

Simply scan the QR code on your Smartphone (iPhone or Android 9) camera, click on the link that comes up and fill in the short form to report any issues. Please include the number on the QR code sticker.

Click here to report a damaged or overflowing dog bin.

“I am really pleased that our residents and dog walkers can now benefit from a more efficient and convenient way to report any problems with our dog waste bins.

This new digital reporting tool will ensure that our waste collection teams can be alerted to any problems more quickly than before to ensure a better service.

Cabinet Member for the Environment, Recycling and Waste Cllr Philip Circus

You are also reminded that dog waste can be disposed of in general public litter bins where a dog bin is not available, or can be taken home and be disposed of in a general waste refuse bin.

Look out for the QR codes on our red dog waste bins .There shouldn’t be a problem but if there is you can let us know there and then.
