Are you an independent high street trader in Horsham District? Join a free session to help you reach more customers through Instagram.

We're especially keen to hear from businesses in Billingshurst, Pulborough, Storrington, Steyning or Henfield.

As part of the Welcome Back government funding, Horsham District Council has commissioned a team of professional trainers to run a series of free workshops that will help independent high street traders harness the opportunities to reach and engage customers through Instagram.

Come and join local businesses for an interactive session: an opportunity to share ideas and experiences on how to make the most of your social media presence to the benefit of your business and your town. The trainers will share top tips on how to improve your business's Instagrammability.

Each business will receive a short review of the current engagement performance of their Instagram account carried out by the trainers before the workshop.

Next workshop

  • Venue: South Lodge Hotel, Lower Beeding, Horsham RH13 6PS
  • Tuesday 25 January
  • Morning - 10.00am – 12.30pm (registration from 9.40am)
  • Afternoon - 2.00pm – 4.30pm (registration from 1.40pm)

There will also be a workshop on Wednesday 9th February, venue to be confirmed.

How to apply

To apply for a place on one of the workshops, please email pam@pamfoden.com, stating your first and second choice of session date. Please specify the name of the person who would like a place and their role within the business.

For this particular opportunity, your business must have premises in the high street of one of the seven towns. Small chains of independent businesses may apply, if they have no more than five premises and they can be a franchise too.

The South Lodge and Pop Up Horsham venues offer spacious conference/training spaces with plenty of room for social distancing.

Benefit from additional grant funding

There is an additional pot of money set aside to fund small grants to individual participating businesses for ‘Instagrammable displays’ within your premises. Details of eligibility and link to the application form will be provided during the Instagram workshops.

Closing date for applications is 15 February.
